OVERVIEW

This geotechnical seminar is organized by Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, Geotehnički studio d.o.o., GEOENG & Co.d.o.o., MIDAS IT.  During this seminar, you will be able to obtain the useful knowledge and the new insight of the numerical analysis for the geotechnical design. All participants can get the opportunity for hearing the valuable technical lectures from the experts, and can get the hands-on experience of 3D analysis with midas GTS NX.

    Advantages of GTS NX and global applications of 3D geotechnical analysis (by Mr. JaeSeok Yang)

    Mr. Jaeseok Yang will share his know-how how to efficiently implement 3D analysis with the advantages of GTS NX into the geotechnical practice based on his personal technical support experience with various applications.

    2D and 3D modelling in geotechnicas -  experience and practice (by Mr. Igor Sokolić)

    Mr. Igor Sokolić will present his experience and everyday practice on dealing with problems and challenges related to 2D and 3D modelling of various geotechnical structures, by using modern calculation methods.

    2 D application for the big landslide sanitation on the road between Slovenia and  Austria – „Pavličevo sedlo“, 3 D aplication of the transient flow during excavation for the subway „Grlava“ under the railway „Ormož – Hodoš“, 3 D aplication of the deep foundation on the well for the railway bridge in Israel – „Soreq“

    Geotechnical Analysis of Anchored Retaining Wall on Piles with midas GTS NX - IGIKON d.o.o. (By Mr. Igor Potočan)

    Because of heavy traffic and narrow road there was a need for reconstruction (widening) of road section G1-5/0331 Zidani most – Radeče from km 0,650 to km 1,880. Widening of the road is limited on the one side by railway and on the other side by river Sava. The only solution was to build a retaining wall near Sava river and widen the road in that direction. 2D FEM analysis for the anchored retaining wall has been performed by GTS NX.
